Pakistan is ranked fifth among TB high-burden countries worldwide and it accounts for 61% of the TB burden in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region. Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the main health problems despite preventive and control measures that have been taken in the past few decades. Due to its humongous challenge, a collaborative approach between public, private and government sectors is the need of the hour
Three basic strategies are critical to the prevention and control of TB:
VFAHT per se has been focusing on promoting disease awareness and prevention protocols together with the screening of the masses. Screening especially is a very important tool for early detection and treatment along with preventing the disease transmission to active, contagious stage to help in reduction of morbidity and mortality due to the disease.
After the workshop session, you will be evaluated to assess what you have learnt from the same. A certificate will be provided to you based on a satisfactory response.
A follow-up session will be arranged with the Master Trainer. Your participation in the session will certify you as a new trainer, thus, making you eligible to conduct training sessions in the future.
